Star Kiccha Sudeep’s Kannada language action adventure film Vikrant Rona, which is being touted as yet another pan-India spectacle, has opened to huge numbers in Karnataka but is relatively muted numbers in the Hindi belt though it did jump in Hindi on Sunday.
Outperforming earlier titles such as Vikram, Valimai, Beast and 777 Charlie — none of which could cross the Rs 50 lakh barrier on day one — Vikrant Rona has made around Rs 95 lacs in the Hindi belt followed by 75 lacs nett on Friday and 5 cr on over weekend including Kannada version in the north. The film’s Hindi version was presented by Salman Khan.
The film did drop a bit on Friday due to mixed reviews and mid-week working day release but then the film again recovered on Saturday with weekend growth. The film crossed 94 cr gross worldwide over the 4-day weekend and touched 100 cr gross worldwide today.

Vikrant Rona stars Kiccha Sudeep as the leading man along with Jacqueline Fernandez and other actors playing pivotal roles. The Hindi dubbed version of the film is distributed by Salman under his banner Salman Khan Films. Besides Hindi and its original Kannada, the Anup Bhandari directorial will also release in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
