Out of 9-10 Bollywood releases, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Doctor G was only Hindi film to open some sort of occupancy. Second major release was Parineeti Chopra and Harrdy Sandhu starrer Code Name Tiranga directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
Film opened to mixed reviews. Film had low pre release buzz and opened to 10% opening but due to low ticket prices it didn’t go anywhere.
Film did grew especially in urban centres little but it was too little too late. Film collected around 25 lacs nett on day one.
Film failed to grow much and collected 35 lacs nett on Saturday followed by equally poor 40 lacs nett on Sunday. Film collected 1 cr nett over weekend.
Film added 15 lacs nett on Monday and it has added 35 lacs nett on rest of weekdays.
Film has week one total of 1.50 cr nett and it might finish with under 1.75 cr nett lifetime. This is another failure from Ribhu Dasgupta as director after theatrical failure Teen and discontinue show Netflix show Bard Of Blood. The Girl On Train was also poorly received by critics.
Once again Reliance Entertainment marketed film very badly after Vikram Vedha. Both films suffered due to poor promotions.
