Rocketry – The Nambi Effect was under production for 5-6 years and it was sort of once in lifetime passion project for R Madhavan. He acted, directed and co produced the film.
Film started very slowly at box office and collected paltry sum of 65 lacs nett on day one. Film managed to jump big and almost doubled its collections on Saturday and Sunday with 1.30 and 1.95 cr nett respectively. Film and first weekend collection of 3.90 cr nett. Film managed to stay strong on weekdays and collected 6.62 cr nett in first week, which is almost 10 times of its first day collections.
Film held strong despite dozens of new releases and added 10 cr nett more in subsequent two more weeks. Film has crossed 16.56 cr nett in 3 weeks and still adding numbers in 4th weekend. Film should end its lifetime run around 18-19 cr nett lifetime and it should make huge noise on ott this week onwards. It’s not a big but managed to get some audience which is a big achievement considering opening day number and post pandemic scenario.
