Ajay Devgn has make a strong comeback with Drishyam 2 after coupe of flops Thank God and Runway 34 earlier this year. Film busted myths like sequels Dj south remakes do not work and that too on a non holiday big opening.
Film released in 3300 screens all over India and opened big with further growth throughout the day. Few shows were added for midnight and early morning in metros and all were full to capacity.
As we predicted last evening, film collected 15.38 cr nett on day one which is higher than Ajay Devgn’s hit Tanhaji (15.10 cr). Film is second highest opening for Hindi film in 2022 after Brahmastra. Film is good all over and little low in UP and north belts. But film will improve there too by tonight.
Film has again taken a flying start on day two and it should easily grow by 22-25% by end of the day going by advances. As per early trends, film shot collect 18.75-19.50 cr nett today which is fantastic result.

Saturday – 18.80 cr (23% jump) * early estimate
Total – 34.18 cr
Film will cross lifetime biz of Thank God and Runway 34 in two day flat and will cross 55 cr nett over weekend. Film is eyeing 85 cr nett week and that’s a massive statement.
