Film was marketed as big pan India film and film got good reviews. But film is struggling at box office in Hindi version.
Film opened low but it grew over the day. Still diya number is unimpressive. Film collected 2.75 – 3 crore in national chains on day one. It has added 2 crore in non national chains. Thus film collected only 5 crore net on day one in Hindi.
Devara needs to jump big over the weekend. Good reviews might help the film.
About Devara
Jr NTR is set to play a double role as the titular character Devara, and his son Varadha, in the Koratala Siva directorial. Saif Ali Khan appears as the lead antagonist Bhaira.
Janhvi Kapoor plays Varadha’s lady love Thangam, while Shruti Marathe essays the role of Devara’s wife. Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Murali Sharma, Ajay, Kalaiyarasan, Abhimanyu Singh, and others appear in supporting roles.
