Ganapath, the much-awaited action thriller starring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, is all set to hit the theatres on October 20, 2023. The film, directed by Vikas Bahl, promises to deliver high-octane stunts and spectacular visuals in a dystopian world. However, the film’s advance booking report suggested that it may have a slow start at the box office but no one guessed such a disastrous start.
The advance booking for the film was low, with only 8200 tickets sold for day one by end of Thursday. Film needed big jumps for a decent opening but it didn’t happen. Film faced a tough competition from Vijay’s Leo.
Ganapath Is Biggest Disaster For Tiger Shroff And Kriti Sanon In Their Careers
Tiger Shroff has delivered worst opening of his career with Ganapath and despite poor 2.50 cr nett day one, film failed to grow on day two too. Film collected 2.25 cr nett on day two. Film managed poor 2 cr nett on Sunday and this weekend total remained poor 6.75 cr nett. This weekend was almost equal to opening day collection of Tiger Shroff’s Heropantiwhich released 9 years back!
Film collected 1.10 cr nett on day 4 Monday and even on Dussera, it managed 1.25 cr nett only. Film added 1.10 cr nett on Wednesday and 90 lacs nett on Thursday. Film will finish under 12-13 cr nett lifetime!

Saturday: 2.25 cr
Sunday: 2 cr
Monday: 1.10 cr
Tuesday: 1.25 cr
Wednesday: 1.10 cr
Thursday: 0.90 cr
Total: 11.10 cr nett
Also this is third disaster for Kriti Sanon after Shehzada and Adipurush following average Bhediya and disasters of previous years like Panipat and Bachchan Pandey.
Ganapath Becomes Lowest Opener Ever For Tiger Shroff
Tiger Shroff had decent record at box office and only couple of duds. Even those duds like Heropanti 2 and Munna Michael opened well at box office. But Ganapath brings his lowest opening day ever! Yes, it’s shocking that it’s back to back poor outing for Tiger after disastrous Heropanti 2. Also it’s 2nd flop for Kriti Sanon after Shehzada this year. It’s also back to back disasters for Vashu Bhagnani’s Puja Films after recently released flop film Mission Raniganj.
As per early trends, Ganapath will struggle to cross 2.50 cr nett on day one which is very poor and massive growth needed for some sort of face saving numbers.
