Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya is released today on 25th November all over. Film has high expectations and some buzz due to amazing marketing and fairly hit song.
Film is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and presented by Jio Studios. Film is distributed by Marudhar Entertainment in Hindi, Allu Arvind in Telugu and Green Studios in Telugu. It will be releasing in 3D version too.
Advance booking of the film started on Saturday in selected centres and almost all over on Monday. Massive start of Drishyam 2 has affected its advances as it failed to sell even 30k tickets by Thursday night.
On Friday film opened to shockingly low 10-15 % occupancy and it remained low throughout the day and across the country. Film grew post 5 pm but growth was usual and not big enough to change the overall picture.
Film collected around 7.48 cr nett which was below expectations and less than day one of Jugjugg Jeeyo (9.28 cr). Film will need massive jumps from today onwards for some sort of respectable 25-30 cr nett weekend bracket.
On Saturday film has jumped by 35-40% today though 50% jump will be ideal for the film. Film should collect 9.57 cr nett which was some sort of momentum but it needed another 50% jump for chance in longer run.
But it didn’t happen as film managed only 18-20% jump which is strictly average but far from ideal due to low opening day. As per early trends, film should collect today 11.50 cr nett.
Film has 3 – day total of 28.55 cr nett and failed to cross 30 cr nett over weekend. Film finished out of top 10 weekends in 2022 for Hindi films. Trending was strictly average.
Film will has its litmus test on Monday and film dropped by close to 50-53% from Friday which is way bigger than what was required. It should have not dropped by more than 30-35% ideally for any chance in long run. Film collected around 3.85 cr nett. Film again dropped on Tuesday though with lower percentage of fall. Film collected 3.20 cr nett on Tuesday followed by 3.10 cr nett on Wednesday.
Film has 38.70 cr nett in 6 days and now 55 cr nett lifetime looks possible. Film has collected 43 cr plus worldwide gross with healthy overseas collections over the weekend.
