Ajay Devgn Starrer Drishyam 2 released last Friday with good hype but on day one itself, it has surpassed all expectations with 2nd best opening of Hindi film in 2022. Film has created an atmosphere of celebration among trade and exhibitors and disappointment among Bollywood haters. Film has broke every myth and every theory with Monday hold.
Film released in 3300 screens and managed massive 15.38 cr nett on day one which was even higher than Ajay Devgn Starrer Tanhaji (15.10 cr) which released in pre pandemic times. Film got acceptance all over and especially in Maharashtra circuit which was lying low for so long.
Saturday again film took a fab start in morning and it kept growing throughout the day. Film jumped almost by 40% across the board in national chains and single screens were solid too. Film collected 21.59 cr nett on day two.
Sunday again film has taken a solid start across the country and it should cross 27.17 cr nett Sunday with 25% jump. Film was expected to hold well on Monday and that’s what happened with minimal 20% drop only across the table.
Film collected 11.87 cr nett on Monday and this is simply outstanding. Film is unstoppable at the moment and is here to stay. Film again showed rock steady trend with minimal 12-15% drop. Film collected 10.48 cr nett on Tuesday. If that was not big enough then film did another unimaginable stuff with less than 10% drop on Wednesday. It should collect around 9.55-9.75 cr nett on Wednesday.
Film collected 96.14 cr nett in six days and it should cross 100 cr nett by end of tomorrow itself ! Film is holding solid and it can go to 180-200 cr nett depending how strong can hold over 2nd weekend.
