Vikram Vedha starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan released today. Film has considerable amount of pre release buzz and good reviews have helped the film to multiply the noise.
Film released in 4000 plus screens in India and 1600 plus screens overseas. It’s massive release for a film of this genre and it is because of huge cast. Film is expected to created some ripples at box office.

As we predicted last night film managed to sell 65,000 tickets in national multiplex chains and 1.50 lacs tickets all over India by Thursday midnight. This was just better than Laal Singh Chaddha and 30% less than Bhool Bhullaiya 2.

Today film opened to strictly average numbers with opening ranging from 20% at best places and lower at most places. Film is expected to grow from evening onwards but then growth has to be across the board. Problem is mass pockets have not been responded which is strange for the genre. Lack of one chartbuster song has kept the sizeable audience away.
As per early trends, film seems to be heading for 11-12 cr nett day one but good jump in evening can take it to 14-15 cr nett which will be an ideal result but at the moment looks tough.
Film needs massive jumps over weekend for an ideal 50-55 cr nett weekend otherwise it will be tough going ahead.
At places P.S. 1 is just slightly down in comparison to Vikram Vedha though this gap should be widened by evening.
