Main Atal Hoon Is A Disaster On Day One
Pankaj Tripathi’s movie, Main Atal Hoon, opened with a lukewarm response at the box office. The biopic of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, directed by Ravi Jadhav, earned less than 90 lacs nett on its release day.
Film opened to disastrous response of 5% opening and never jumped throughout the day. Reviews were mixed and so there is not much hope for the film. Film will struggle to cross 3 cr nett over weekend and it will finish with single digit lifetime.
Main Atal Hoon Review
Main Atal Hoon is a film that could have been a lot better, but ends up being a mediocre and forgettable film that does not do justice to the life and achievements of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, or to the performance of Pankaj Tripathi, who brings the legendary leader to life on screen. The film is a respectful, oversimplified and sincere homage to a man who shaped the history and destiny of India, and who left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of millions of Indians. But the film is not a masterpiece, nor is it a worthy and enjoyable film that deserves a watch.
