Anubhav Sinha’s controversial film ‘Bheed’ released today all over. Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer was complete non starter at box office on expected lines. Though film got glowing reviews but it didn’t help much. Film’s black & White shots and slow pace are big deterrent for masses.
Film started with 2-5% opening and never improved throughout the day. Film collected 45 lacs nett on day one. It needed massive jump but today film collected only 55 lacs nett.
Film has 2- day total of 1 cr nett and weekend will be around 1.80-1.90 cr nett.
It’s another box office failure from Anubhav Sinha after Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Anek’, another issue based film. Before that in pre pandemic era, Anubhav’s ‘Thappad’ and ‘Article 15’ were sleeper hits which were again issue based films.
