Dynamics of box office changed post pandemic and now either films are blockbusters or disasters. There are very few films in between and sleeper hits are even more rare. Probably ‘Rocketry’ and ‘Uunchai’ were two films which trended well despite poor start.
Film started slow on day one with 1.27 cr nett and then film trended well from there on with jumps over weekend. Film collected 6.42 cr nett over weekend. After decent Monday hold of 91 lacs nett, Gudi Padwa and new year festival pushed the film on Tuesday and Wednesday. After 1.09 cr nett Tuesday and 1.27 cr nett on Wednesday, film added 82 lacs nett on Thursday.
Film crossed 10.51 cr nett in 1st week and next week too it should add 6-7 cr nett number. Anything above 20 cr nett will some sort of success and anything around 15-17 cr nett will be average. It has crucial advantage of open 2nd week as there will be no major Bollywood release.
Film collects 7.20 cr nett from National Chains out of 10.51 cr nett all India total of Week 1 which is 68.57% contribution. It shows that how heavily skewed multiplex films can collect major numbers from select few chains and cities itself.
