Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to deliver third mega hit of the year with his film Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Film released on 21st December all over. On the other hand, Prabhas’s Salaar released on 22nd December and clashed with SRK starrer.

Salaar released with paid previews and collected massive 5.95 million USD (49 crore). This paid preview numbers are good to flaunt in media which was the case with Animal and Tiger 3 but after openings films failed to come close to Pathaan and Jawan sort of numbers, both SRK starrers were released without paid previews.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki collected more than double on day one than Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, 2nd best opening of non action film post pandemic. Following are the top Opening days for films post pandemic in non action genre:
