EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 Takes A Strictly Average Start With 40 Cr Day One On Cards

The much-awaited action thriller Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, released today on Diwali festival. The film, directed by Maneesh Sharma, is the third installment of the popular Tiger franchise, which revolves around the adventures of a spy couple played by Salman and Katrina.

Tiger 3 is expected to be a big hit at the box office, as it promises to deliver high-octane action sequences, exotic locations, and a gripping plot. The film also features Emraan Hashmi as the main antagonist, who plays a ruthless terrorist leader.

Tiger 3 Takes Decent Start On Diwali Day, Next Two Days Hold The Key

Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 released today on Diwali and makers YRF is confident enough to pull of biggest hit. Film has taken a strictly average start at box office on day one morning and Diwali festivities will hit the film from 4-5 pm onwards. Also there is India’s World Cup match which will affect the collections from noon onwards.

Film needs massive Monday and Tuesday to justify its stardom and franchise value. Following are the early numbers for the film.

As of now it seems that film will cross 40 cr nett at best for day which is a fair number but it can not termed extraordinary until it crosses 45 cr nett.

Tiger 3 Ended Way Behind Pathaan And Jawan In Terms Of Advance Booking In National Chains

Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 is next big release and expected to challenge records at box office. But film is lagging behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan by huge margins. Number one booking app Bookmyshow is fair indicator of where film is going in terms of craze and advance booking. Tiger 3 failed to cross advance booking as well as interests on Bookmyshow of Pathaan and Jawan even on release date.

Following are the numbers in national chains in advances for day 1 at the end of advance booking: 

PVR + Inox: 2,47,000

Cinepolis: 61,000

Total: 3,08,000 tickets

Following are the numbers in national chains in advances for day 2 at the end of advance booking Saturday night:

PVR + Inox: 95,000

Cinepolis: 23,000 

Total: 1,18,00 tickets
