Film was not hot among so called trade experts but as we predicted, film was bound to open well due to hit music and fresh chemistry of lead pair. Buy one and get one ticket offer further aided the film at box office over 1st and 2nd weekend.
Film opened with superb numbers on day one and it collected 5.49 cr nett which was fantastic result going by pre release expectations. On day two morning again film took a blistering start as it jumped by 30% in morning itself. Film had 35% growth on day two and collected 7.20 cr nett on day two. Film maintained its momentum on day three and collected 9.90 cr nett with further 37% growth.
Film has total of 22.59 cr nett over weekend one and 37.45 cr nett in week one with amazing trending on weekdays. Film crossed 16.20 cr nett in 2nd weekend and 25.65 cr in 2nd week which is only 30% drop from week one.
Film held strong and collected 5.28 cr nett in 3rd weekend. Film remained super solid on weekdays in 3rd week and collected 9.54 cr nett with only 65% drop from previous week. Film started 4th week with higher number than 3rd Thursday and collected 1.15 cr nett. Film jumped big in 4th Saturday by 66% and collected 2.25 cr nett. Film added 2.88 cr nett on 4th Sunday.
Film crossed 6 cr nett in 4th weekend. Film remained super solid on weekdays. Film collected 9.99 cr net in 4th week and this it has collected more in 4th week than what it collected in 3rd week. This is rare occurrence and speaks about fantastic trending of the film.
Film added 51 lacs and 72 lacs net on 5th Friday and Saturday respectively. Film collected 90 lacs nett on Sunday. Film has total of 84.66 cr nett after 5th weekend and it will cross 90 cr nett lifetime from here for sure.
Film will be in cinemas for next one month till the release of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaniwhich means lifetime total of 95 cr nett can’t be ruled out. This is first box office hit post pandemic which is not a big budget spectacle and set in small town. Third Hindi hit of the year after Pathaan and The Kerala Story.
