Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal released in cinemas yesterday and anticipation for the film was all over. Film is 3 hours 21 minutes long and is releasing with ‘A’ certificate. Despite these shortcomings, amazing trailer and fantastic songs had done the trick.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has taken earth shattering start at box office. Film is performing outstandingly well all over in India and overseas. Film crossed 24.40 cr nett by 10:30 pm in national chains in India. It should cross 54.75 nett Hindi for sure on day one. Film added 9.05 cr nett from Tamil and Telugu version. Film has crossed 57 cr nett day one of Shah Rukh Khan starrers Pathaan though Jawan day one of 75 cr nett is out of question.
Film collected 75 crore gross India number. Animal was massive in overseas market too with $1.2 million (10 cr) in previews and total $5.5 million (46 cr) on day one including previews. Ranbir Kapoor has become the second actor after Shah Rukh Khan to score a global opening of Rs 100 crore, and this has happened on a non-holiday with an A-rated film. Animal is also the third from the Hindi Film industry after Pathaan and Jawan to clock an opening day in excess of 100 crore.
Ranbir Kapoor has now graduated to superstar status with such mammoth opening worldwide that too on non holiday with an adult rated film. He is now competing for top slot with Shah Rukh Khan in 2023 which is no small achievement.
