Vidyut Jammwal starrer IB 71 never had any pre release buzz though makers tried their best to spread ‘artificial’ word of mouth with friendly previews across Mumbai and Delhi. But all efforts seem to failed miserably. Film was released all over today to average to poor reviews.
Film opened to dull response all over and never grew throughout the day. Films old only 4000 tickets in advances which was always a ominous sign. Film collected 1.67 cr nett on day one which is poor. On day two, film jumped by 60% and collected 2.51 cr nett. Film collected 3.18 cr nett on Sunday with further jump of 30%.
Film had 3 – day weekend total of 7.36 cr nett and now Monday holds the key. Film held well on Monday and collected 1.10 cr nett with 35% drop from Friday. Film collected 1.06 cr nett on Tuesday, 1.02 cr nett on Wednesday and 65 lacs nett on Thursday. Film had below par total of 11.01 cr nett after week one.
Film dropped big on 2nd Friday which was expected. Film collected 73 lacs nett on 2nd Friday. Film grew marginally on over weekend and collected 1.11 cr on 2nd Saturday and 1.49 cr on 2nd Sunday. Film crossed 3.10 cr nett over 2nd weekend. Film further dropped on 2nd Monday and collected 56 lacs nett followed by 48 lacs nett on Tuesday.
Film has total of 15.38 cr nett in 12 days. Film will finish with under 20-22 cr nett lifetime despite free run which is again a flop from Vidyut Jammwal at box office.

Vidyut Jammwal is back with a spy thriller, but this time, he isn’t doing larger-than-life stunts.
