Filmmakers Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vikrant Massey’s low key film 12th Fail, released in cinemas this Friday, October 27th. The makers organized the first ever screening of the 12th Fail in three different cities: Bhopal, Mumbai, and Delhi. Film clashed with Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas and Maddock Films’ Sajni Shinde Ka Viral Video.
12th Fail Is Heading For Hit Lifetime After Solid Week One
No one expected much from 12th Fail for few reasons. It was neither promoted well, Vikrant Massey never gave a solo hit in cinemas and Vishu Vinod Chopra has not delivered any box office success lately as director. But audience and box office are unpredictable entities.
Film not only jumped on day one itself but has doubled its collections on day two with 100% plus growth. Film collected 1.10 cr nett on day one and set to cross 2.50 cr nett on day two. Full jumped further on day three and collected 3.10 cr nett.
Film has total of 6.70 cr nett over weekend and Monday held the key. Film passed Monday test and set to collect more than Friday number. Film collected 1.50 cr nett on day 4. Film added 1.65 cr nett on day 5. Film grew again and collected 1.85 cr nett on Wednesday followed by 1.30 cr nett on Thursday. Film has total of 13 cr nett after week one.
Film started solid on 2nd Friday and should collect 1.75 cr nett, higher than 1st day and Thursday. Film has crossed 14.75 cr nett and it will cross very good 25 cr nett lifetime as it has good open run for 8 days.
