Ayushmann Khurrana is on all time high with one hit after another that too with films which are getting rave reviews too. He has mastered combination of box office and critical acclaim. In span of two months, he is back with another hit after ‘Dreamgirl’.
‘Bala’ opened in 3000 screens in India and 550 screens overseas. This is biggest release ever for an Ayushmann Khurrana film. Film started little slower than last Ayushmann release ‘Dreamgirl’ primarily because of inferior music. Film picked up from second show onwards itself and evening saw big jumps in metros especially.
Film collected 10.15 cr nett on day one which was highest opening for actor. Film got little affected with Ayodhya verdict as theatres in north were shut. Still film jumped big 45% and collected 15.73 cr nett. Film has fantastic Sunday with 20% jump and collected 18.07 cr nett.
Film has weekend total of 43.95 cr nett that is a fantastic total,3rd highest weekend for Ayushmann after ‘Dreamgirl’ (44.57 cr nett) and ‘Badhaai Ho’ (45.70 cr nett). Now weekdays will decide how long legs it has to stay at box office. Such a weekend collection makes it already a hit.
It has got very positive reviews from critics and this it is here to stay in cinemas for a month or so. It’s another hit from Ayushmann and his dream run at box office continues.
