Ajay Devgn always springs surprise when it comes to clash with another fancy film, be it ‘Son Of Sardar’ or ‘Shivaay’ and now ‘Tanhaji’. Film not only beaten ‘Chappak’ hands down but also posted huge day one followed by good growth.
Film started slowly on day one morning with 25% occupancy but it did grow well riding on glowing reviews throughout the day. Film was super strong in Maharashtra, CP and it seems other circuits will come around today.
Film was released in 3200 screens and it posted huge 15.10 cr nett on day one. Film jumped big on day two by 30% and posted 20.57 cr nett. Film again jumped big on Sunday which is rare these days and collected 26.08 cr nett. Film remains solid on weekdays and collected 13.75 cr nett on Monday followed by 15.28 cr nett on Tuesday.
Film has 5-day total of 90.96 cr nett. Film is a big surprise at box office and with two clear week of run, it should post huge lifetime total.
