Jaat has finally arrived in cinemas. Led by Sunny Deol, the action thriller also stars Regina Cassandra, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, and others in crucial roles. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the new release has started its journey on an average note.
Also featuring Randeep Hooda, Jaat sold over 20,000 advance tickets in the top three national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for the opening day. The average pre-sales has played a major role in bringing less than its expected opening. Before the makers started its advance bookings, Sunny Deol’s comeback film was expected to earn Rs 10 crore on its opening day.
Jaat Crosses 75 Crore After 2nd Weekend
Jaat collected good 3.95 crore net on 2nd Friday despite competition from new release Kesari 2 starring Akshay Kumar. Film failed to grow on 2nd Saturday and collected 3.90 crore net.
Film has total of 70.09 crore net after 10 days and now film is certain to cross 74 crore net after 2nd weekend. With good hold in coming weeks, film can cross 90 – 95 crore net lifetime.
Jaat Scores Decent 62 Crore Week One
Produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, Jaat had an average opening at the box office. Based on the morning trends, Sunny Deol starrer collected around Rs 9.62 crore on the first day. Film dropped marginally on day 2 as holiday advantage was not there. Film collected 7 crore net on day two. Film grew only marginally on day 3 Saturday and collected 9.95 crore net. Film jumped big on Sunday and collected 14.05 crore net which was much needed boost.
After 4 – day extended weekend total of 40.62 crore net, film held well on Monday due to Ambedkar Jayanti holiday edge and collected 7.30 crore net. Film held well and collected 6 crore net on day 6 followed by 4.05 crore on day 7 followed by 4.27 crore net on day 8.
Film has total of 62.24 crore net after 8 – day extended week one. It’s an average result and needs massive hold in couple of weeks for any sort of good lifetime total.
Jaat has been released on 3500 screens in national multiplexes, non-national chains, and single screens. It is Deol’s second biggest movie after his 2023 movie, Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. The Gadar sequel, which emerged as an all-time blockbuster, was released on 3900 screens across India.

While the makers promoted Jaat through teasers, trailers, and posters on social media, it couldn’t generate much-needed buzz like Sunny Deol’s last release, Gadar 2, which was a sequel to the iconic movie, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The new action thriller couldn’t create hype from its songs.
