Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Day 2: Rishab Shetty Film Sees Massive Drop Of 35 Percent All Over, But Manages To Enter Rs 100 Cr Club In Two Days

The prequel of Rishab Shetty’s National Award-winning film, Kantara, was released on October 2. Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, this epic prequel delves into the ancient roots of the Kantara forest, offering a deeper exploration of Indian folklore. The first part had earned over Rs 400 crore worldwide, and expectations are sky-high for this chapter, which has now entered the Rs 100 crore club in India.

Kantara: Chapter 1 earned Rs 41 crore India net on Day 2. This brings the film’s collection to Rs 102 crore domestically. The film had opened with Rs 61 crore on day one. Although the film faced some competition from Varun Dhawan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, it quickly overtook the romantic comedy.

Kantara Chapter 1 Drops In Hindi Too

Film collected 18.50 crore net on day one which was solid number considering clash with new Hindi film. Film dropped by 35% and collected close to 13.50 crore net on day two.

Film has 2 day total of 32 crore net and will jump in next two days over the weekend to cross 60 crore net. This will be a good total but better was expected from the film after mega success of first part.
