The strong opening comes just a week after Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu grossed ₹40 crore on its first day, showing the kind of market pull Vijay Deverakonda commands. In the U.S. market, Kingdom also crossed the $1 million mark, setting a new record for the actor.

In a statement to the press, Vijay Deverakonda admitted he was initially worried about releasing the film on a Thursday but was completely surprised by the massive turnout from fans. The film’s performance is significant given its massive reported budget of ₹130 crore. The strong opening was supported by aggressive promotions from producer Naga Vamsi.
