The Malayalam film industry is shining with back-to-back blockbusters in the form of Premalu and Bramayugam. Now, another Malayalam movie named Manjummel Boys proved to be a blockbuster at the ticket windows. The movie had solid buzz even before its release, and the same was reflected in the advance bookings and now in record breaking collections.
Manjummel Boys Highest Grossing Film From Malyalam Industry
The survival thriller, based on a true incident that occurred in 2006 which led to Siju David being awarded the Jeevan Raksha Padak Medal in 2008, is wooing audiences, not just in Kerala but also the other parts of the country.
Manjummel Boys is doing wonders at the box office with a domestic collection of approximately 108 crores gross, an incredible feat for the industry which is not as big as some other regional film industry.

Adding to its list of achievements, Manjummel Boys made history in its fourth week by becoming the first Malayalam film to cross the Rs. 200 crore mark worldwide. Its global gross now stands at Rs. 214 crore, with an overseas haul of Rs. 71 crore (USD 8.50 million).

Manjummel Boys is a survival thriller based on a real incident where a few friends set out on a journey to Kodaikanal. The movie features Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapati S Poduval, Jean Paul Lal, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arjun Kurian, and others in pivotal roles.
