The Yami Gautam-led horror comedy saw a steep 55 per cent fall on Day 6, adding just Rs 1.75 crore nett after a much stronger Rs 4.35 crore nett on Day 5. That sharp dip has pushed the film into below-par territory, with its six-day total now standing at a poor Rs 20.50 crore nett.
Day 6 Drop Hurts The Film’s Momentum
The biggest talking point from the film’s first week is the sudden loss of momentum on its sixth day. After posting Rs 3.36 crore on Day 1, Nayyi Navelli showed some growth over its opening weekend with Rs 4 crore on Day 2 and Rs 4.54 crore on Day 3. Collections then fell to Rs 2.50 crore on Day 4 before rising again to Rs 4.35 crore on Day 5.
That recovery, however, did not hold. Day 6 came in at Rs 1.75 crore nett, marking a 55 per cent decline from the previous day. For a genre film that needed steady weekday support, the fall is significant and leaves the overall first-week trend looking shaky rather than reassuring.
First Week Total Stays Below Expectations
With Rs 20.50 crore nett in six days, Nayyi Navelli has managed to cross the Rs 20 crore line, but the total remains underwhelming for a film that needed stronger holdover numbers after its opening weekend. The current trajectory points to a week-one finish of around Rs 22 crore nett, which is well below the kind of number a theatrically mounted horror comedy would have wanted in order to build a stable long run.
If the trend does not improve quickly, the film is heading toward a lifetime total near Rs 30 crore nett. That would place it firmly in flop territory based on its present pace and weak weekday consistency. The Day 6 drop has effectively erased the little momentum the film had regained a day earlier.
