Peddi Hindi Box Office: Ram Charan Starrer Takes Disastrous ₹3.50 Crore Day 1 Net Start In North India

Ram Charan’s pan India push with Peddi has begun with a major red flag in the Hindi belt. The Buchi Babu Sana directorial reached cinemas with strong Telugu market noise, but its Hindi dubbed version failed to take off on opening day.

Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that Peddi collected ₹3.50 crore net in Hindi on day one. For a film mounted on a massive scale and sold as a national theatrical event, the number is a disastrous start in North India.

Peddi Hindi Box Office Opens Low On Day 1

The Hindi version struggled from the morning itself, with poor footfalls across key centres. The Telugu version led the opening momentum, while dubbed versions found limited audience response. That opening total underlines the gap between Ram Charan’s post RRR recognition and actual box office pull in the Hindi market.

The underperformance is significant because Peddi had the packaging of a big pan India title. Ram Charan returned to theatres after Game Changer, Janhvi Kapoor added Hindi market visibility, and the film carried the scale of a premium commercial spectacle. Yet the Hindi belt has delivered a muted verdict at the ticket window.

Composer A. R. Rahman, who scored the film, praised Ram Charan’s performance during promotions and said, “Some of the scenes were like, how’s he gonna do it. How’s he gonna feel it? But he did it very naturally. Even that whole kissing scene. I felt like he really lived it, in every frame you see he worked so much.”

Inside Peddi’S Rural Sports Drama And Star Cast

Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and stars Ram Charan in the title role alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani. Venkata Satish Kilaru has produced the film under Vriddhi Cinemas, with Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings and IVY Entertainment associated with the project.

The 2026 theatrical release is built as a village rooted sports entertainer about a spirited athlete whose journey is tied to identity, community pride and redemption. A. R. Rahman’s music and R. Rathnavelu’s cinematography gave the film a premium technical profile.

Ram Charan’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ram Charan’s recent phase has been closely watched since RRR, SS Rajamouli’s global blockbuster in which he starred as Alluri Sitarama Raju alongside Jr NTR. He also appeared with Chiranjeevi in Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva.

In 2023, Ram Charan made a cameo appearance in the Hindi film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. His next full fledged theatrical release was Game Changer in 2025, directed by S. Shankar and co starring Kiara Advani. The film underperformed at the box office and later streamed on Amazon Prime Video from February 7, 2025.

With Peddi now in cinemas, Ram Charan’s confirmed forthcoming work as producer includes The India House, listed for 2026.
