Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest action thriller Jailer has been smashing records at the box office since its release on August 10. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has grossed over Rs 326 crores in India and 509 crore worldwide in just 11 days, becoming the second Tamil film to achieve this feat after 2.0, surpassing Ponniyin Selvan: I. The film is also expected to surpass the lifetime collections of these films and become the highest-grossing Tamil film ever.
Jailer: Domestic Box Office Collections
Jailer has collected Rs 326.25 crore nett in India in all languages till Sunday, August 21. The film saw a massive jump on its second Saturday and Sunday, earning Rs 21 crore and Rs 25.50 crore respectively, dropping just 45 per cent from Friday-Sunday last week.

Jailer collected Rs. 27 crores approx in the second weekend in Tamil Nadu for Rs. 149 crores total as of Sunday. It is now the third highest-grossing film in the state just behind PS1 and Vikram. It will be crossing the latter to take the second spot in the coming days, with the final landing point of the film expected to be around Rs. 190 crores.

Jailer is the second highest-grossing Kollywood film to date, just behind 2.0, overtaking PS1.
The film has grossed USD 22 million overseas. Jailer is now the second highest-grossing Kollywood film of all time overtaking Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1. The Rajinikanth starrer is expected to become the highest-grossing Tamil film by today, since it’s only 2 million short to becoming highest grossing Tamil film internationally.
