Today three films released on Diwali weekend and much anticipated three way clash finally took place at box office. Below are the screen counts for the films:
Housefull 4 3950 screens
Saand Ki Aankh 350 screens
Made ain China 475 screens
It was mix Friday at box office as biggie disappointed to certain extent due to bad reviews but weakest film managed better numbers. Overall it was ‘black Friday’ for exhibitors all over country.
‘Housefull 4’ started decently in morning but bad reviews and pre diwali period started to hit it in. Fm managed strictly average 16.80 cr nett on day one as per early trends. Now only hope that festivities can save it in coming days.
‘Made In China’ was weakest of all three going by pre release buzz but it managed decent numbers of 1.30 cr nett on day one and managed to beat other release. Film has chances to grow over the weekend.
‘Saand Ki Aankh’ struggled with bad release and competition. Despite ‘so called’ glowing reviews, film fell flat. It should collect around 75 lacs on day one.
