Sikandar Box Office: Salman Khan Starrer Becomes His 4th Highest Eid Opener, Falls Short Of Bharat, Sultan And Ek Tha Tiger

Salman Khan starrer Sikandar opened with Rs 30.06 crore. It falls behind Bharat, Sultan and Ek Tha Tiger among his biggest Eid openers.

Salman Khan’s Eid release Sikandar hit cinemas with huge expectations, but the box office numbers paint a different picture. The AR Murugadoss-directed action entertainer was expected to be a massive hit. However, it struggled to match the success of Salman’s previous Eid blockbusters.

Sikandar Makes Strong But Not A Record-Breaking Start

Sikandar opened to mixed reactions. While Salman’s fans flocked to theatres, advance bookings were lower than expected. Spot bookings failed to give the film the extra push it needed. On its opening day, the film collected Rs 30.06 crore net in India, making it the second-highest Bollywood opener of 2025 after Chhaava (Rs 33.10 crore).

Despite the decent numbers, Sikandar couldn’t surpass Salman’s biggest Eid openers. It fell behind Bharat (Rs 42.30 crore), Sultan (Rs 36.54 crore), and Ek Tha Tiger (Rs 32.93 crore). The film now stands as his fourth-highest Eid opener.

About The Film

Sikandar follows the journey of Sanjay Rajkot, a powerful leader from Gujarat, who loses his wife in an accident. After her organs are donated to three people in Mumbai, a corrupt politician, Rakesh Pradhan, targets them for revenge. This sets up an intense battle where Sanjay must protect them at all costs. The film is packed with high-energy action and emotional drama. Released on March 30, Sikandar aimed to cash in on the Eid holiday.

Sikandar had all the makings of a blockbuster, but mixed reviews impacted its momentum. Salman’s performance and the action sequences received praise, but the film’s storytelling was criticised. Rashmika Mandanna (who played Saisri) impressed fans, but her limited screen time left many disappointed. Critics called the screenplay outdated and felt that the emotional depth didn’t fully connect with the audience.

With a whopping Rs 200 crore budget, Sikandar needs strong weekday collections to stay afloat. The coming days will be crucial in determining its box office fate. Will word-of-mouth drive up the numbers, or will it fade away? Let’s wait and watch!
