Aamir Khan is back to lighting up the box office as his recent film, Sitaare Zameen Par, is shining brighter by the day. Directed by R.S. Prasanna and co-starring Genelia Deshmukh, the film released in theatres on June 20, 2025, and is already stirring major nostalgia as a spiritual sequel to the 2007 gem Taare Zameen Par.
Sitaare Zameen Par Holds Well On 3rd Friday
Film collected 2.31 crore net on 3rd Friday despite competition from new releases Metro In Dino and Jurassic Park Rebirth. Film will grow over 3rd weekend and will cross 15 crore net with big jumps.
Film has crossed 137.22 crore net in 15 days and it is certain to cross 147 crore net after 3rd weekend. Film will cross 170 -175 crore net lifetime and that’s a hit verdict!
Sitaare Zameen Par Set For Solid 2nd Week Of 47 Crore
Sitaare Zameen Par held well on 2nd Friday despite new releases Maa and F1 The Movie. Film collected 6.67 crore on 2nd Friday and as expected, it jumped big on 2nd Saturday by 88%. Film scored 12.55 crore on day 9. Film grew again on 2nd Sunday with 14.60 crore net number. Film added 33.82 crore net over 2nd weekend which is a solid number.
Film dropped by 45% on 2nd Monday and collected 3.75 crore net followed by same number on 2nd Tuesday. Film added 2.70 crore on 2nd Wednesday and 2.43 crore on 2nd Thursday. It remained steady on weekdays in 2nd week.
Film crossed 46.45 crore over 2nd week which was solid hold with only 45% drop from week one.
Sitaare Zameen Par Scores Decent 88 Crore In 1st Week
Sitaare Zameen Par picked up pace on Saturday, outperforming its Friday numbers. The film earned an estimated Rs 19.90 crore on Day 2, taking its total India collection to Rs 30.60 crore so far. It had kicked off with Rs 10.70 crore on its opening day, and the upward trend looks promising. All eyes were on Sunday to see just how big the film’s first weekend tally turns out to be and film delivered and how!
Film collected 26.70 crore net on day 3 Sunday with 35% growth taking its weekend total to 57.30 crore net. After good weekend, film dropped on Monday by 23% from day 1 and 65% drop from day 3. Film collected 8.50 crore net on Monday followed by similar 8.60 crore net on Tuesday, 7.51 crore on Wednesday and 6.55 crore on Thursday.
Film had total of 88.46 crore net which is a good result but not a fitting number for an Aamir Khan starrer.

About Sitaare Zameen Par
Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy drama film directed by R. S. Prasanna, and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit. Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar will make their Hindi cinema debut with the film.
