Ayushmann Khurrana is on all time high with one hit after another that too with films which are getting rave reviews too. He has mastered combination of box office and critical acclaim. In span of two months, he is back with another hit after ‘Dream Girl’.
‘Bala’ opened in 3000 screens in India and 550 screens overseas. This is biggest release ever for an Ayushmann Khurrana film. The film started little slower than last Ayushmann release ‘Dreamgirl’ primarily because of inferior music. Bala picked up from second show onwards itself and evening saw big jumps in metros especially.
Film collected 10.15 cr nett on day one which was highest opening for actor. Bala got little affected with Ayodhya verdict as theatres in north were shut. Still film jumped big 45% and collected 15.73 cr nett. Film has fantastic Sunday with 20% jump and collected 18.07 cr nett.
Bala has weekend total of 43.95 cr nett that is a fantastic total,3rd highest weekend for Ayushmann after ‘Dreamgirl’ (44.57 cr nett) and ‘Badhaai Ho’ (45.70 cr nett). The movie faces litmus test on Monday and it passed it flying colors.
The film had 72.24 cr nett total after 1st week which is fantastic.
Film remained super strong on 2nd Friday and despite new releases film managed to collect 3.76 cr nett. The movie jumped again big 75% on Saturday and collected 6.73 cr nett. Film jumped on Sunday too and added 8.01 cr nett. Bala collected 2.25 cr nett on Monday which is not a bad hold but not great either. Film added 2.05 cr nett on Tuesday and 1.96 cr nett on Wednesday which is minimal drop.
Bala has 13 day total of 97 cr nett. Film will cross 100 cr nett in 3rd Weekend. Another massive hit from Ayushmann!
