Spider-Man Brand New Day Smashes Rs 40 Crore In India Presales, Eyes Rs 50 Crore Plus Opening Day

India’s box office has a full-blown Hollywood juggernaut on its hands. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has blasted past Rs 40 crore in advance sales for its extended opening weekend, with opening day alone already driving Rs 16 crore to Rs 17 crore, placing the film firmly on course for a Rs 50 crore plus nett start.

The early rush has not been limited to headline metros either. National chains PVR INOX and Cinepolis have already sold 225,000 tickets for day one and more than 550,000 tickets across the full weekend, underscoring just how quickly the Marvel title has turned pre-release interest into real box office heft.

India Presales Put Spider-Man Brand New Day In Elite Company

Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that Spider-Man: Brand New Day has grossed Rs 40 crore in presales for its four-day extended opening weekend, which translates to about Rs 33 crore nett. The same source adds, “By the end of business today, Brand New Day is expected to surpass all three and move into second place, trailing only Avengers: Endgame.” It also states, “Crossing the Rs. 50 crore nett mark on the first day is becoming increasingly likely.”

Those comparisons have placed the film in the same presale bracket as Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avatar: The Way of Water and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with Avengers: Endgame now the only benchmark sitting above it. The significance is not just in the raw number, but in the speed and consistency of the advance booking surge as the release draws closer.

Spider-Man Brand New Day Fuels Marvel’S Big India Comeback

What gives the current run extra punch is the territorial spread behind it. Mumbai and Delhi-UP are leading from the front, followed by southern circuits, Mysore, APTS and Kerala, while other Hindi-market circuits including West Bengal have also joined the momentum. Tamil Nadu bookings were still not fully open when these figures were reported, making the already massive advance even more striking.

That wider market pull lands at an important moment for Marvel and for Hollywood event films in India. The past couple of years have delivered uneven theatrical results for the MCU, but Spider-Man: Brand New Day has cut through with the kind of urgency usually reserved for the biggest franchise spectacles. The current box office trajectory has turned the opening day race into a serious chase toward historic territory.

That momentum also explains why the film’s release details have become part of the larger conversation around its opening. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day brings Tom Holland back as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, with Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas and Jon Bernthal joining the ensemble. Backed by Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios and Pascal Pictures, the film releases in India on July 30, 2026, one day before its United States debut on July 31, 2026. Positioned after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the new film launches a fresh chapter in Peter Parker’s story while arriving with enormous theatrical heat.
