Spider-Man Brand New Day Storms Indian Box Office With Rs 60 Crore Presales, Targets Avengers Endgame Benchmark

Spider-Man is already moving like a full-blown theatrical event in India. With Spider-Man: Brand New Day crossing Rs 60 crore in advance sales for its extended opening frame, the film has surged into the top tier of Hollywood pre-release performers in the market and put Avengers: Endgame‘s long-standing benchmark firmly in its sights.

That frenzy is also being amplified by release strategy. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to open in Indian cinemas on July 30, 2026, a day ahead of its United States release on July 31, 2026, a move that has only sharpened the film’s event status as fan demand races upward.

India Presales Put Endgame Record In Sight

Trade chatter around the film has now turned into hard momentum, with advance booking numbers placing it among the biggest Hollywood openers India has ever seen. As the source report puts it, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day has unleashed mayhem at the Indian box office with presales reaching Rs. 60 crore / USD 6.30 million (Rs. 50 crore nett) approx as of this morning.” It further adds, “Of this, around Rs. 24 crore is for the opening day, while the remaining Rs. 36 crore is for the other three days of the extended four-day opening weekend.”

The same report notes that the film is already trailing only Avengers: Endgame in the all-time Hollywood advance booking chart in India. It also says, “The BookMyShow portal has sold over 1 million tickets, a feat only achieved by three films prior to now.” Separate trade tracking around the July 28 sales rush has also underlined the sheer pace of audience response, reinforcing the sense that Brand New Day is not merely opening big, but opening at record-chasing scale.

Why This Opening Wave Looks Different

What gives this surge even more weight is the shape of the audience response. Rather than leaning primarily on the South, as many imported tentpoles have in the post-pandemic market, the film is seeing especially powerful traction in the Hindi-speaking circuits, with Mumbai and Delhi-UP emerging as major drivers.

That regional spread makes the current run feel broader and more potent than a standard fan-first blockbuster launch. It suggests Brand New Day is connecting as a true all-India event release, with Spider-Man once again proving to be one of the few Hollywood superhero brands capable of cutting across territories and pulling in crowds well before opening day.

A New Spider-Man Chapter With A Loaded Ensemble

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a 2026 action-adventure film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The principal cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo, giving the film one of the most closely watched ensemble line-ups in Marvel’s current slate.

The story continues Peter Parker’s life after the memory-altering fallout of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with the character now navigating a world that no longer remembers him. That emotional reset, paired with a fresh threat and a new creative phase, has given the film a distinct hook even before audiences step into theatres.
