Spider-Man Brand New Day Nears ₹500 Crore In India After Strong Week 3 Despite Awarapan 2 Competition

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still swinging strongly at the Indian box office. Three weeks into its run, the Marvel and Sony tentpole has managed to hold attention despite fresh competition from Awarapan 2, a slight reduction in screens, and the usual weekday slowdown that follows a huge opening stretch.

The latest official India nett figures place the film at ₹479.48 crore across all versions after Week 3, keeping the ₹500 crore milestone firmly within reach. More importantly, the trend shows that the film is not surviving on opening-week buzz alone. Its third-week hold suggests that family audiences, franchise loyalists, and premium format viewers are continuing to turn up, which is often the clearest sign of a title with genuine depth in India rather than a front-loaded run.

Week 3 Hold Keeps The ₹500 Crore Target Alive

The newest update paints the picture of a film that is no longer in its explosive opening phase, but is still commanding enough footfalls to remain a major theatrical player. Week 3 collections came in at ₹31.70 crore, with the weekend once again doing the heavy lifting. Friday contributed ₹3.90 crore, Saturday climbed to ₹10.40 crore, and Sunday followed with ₹9.60 crore. The weekday trend then settled at ₹2 crore on Monday, ₹2.50 crore on Tuesday, ₹1.70 crore on Wednesday, and ₹1.60 crore on Thursday.

That kind of hold matters because by the third weekend, big event films in India usually face sharper erosion, especially when a new title arrives with scale and visibility. In this case, Spider-Man: Brand New Day absorbed the impact without ceding ground dramatically, which keeps the race to ₹500 crore very much alive over the next few days.

475 NOT OUT – Spider – Man Brand New Day puts up a strong total in Week 3, despite the #Awarapan2 wave, coupled with a slight reduction in screens and shows.” It followed that up with, “The film has crossed the ₹ 475 cr mark… Will it achieve the ₹ 500 cr milestone?… Only time will tell. For now, the confirmed total stands at ₹479.48 crore, leaving the film less than ₹21 crore away from the next big milestone.

A Blockbuster Run Powers Spider-Man Brand New Day’s India Story

That distance now feels less like a far-off target and more like the final stretch of an already remarkable India run. The film’s hold across its third weekend points to sustained audience interest, and that staying power is easier to understand when placed against the scale of the package itself, a major Marvel-Sony event film led by Tom Holland’s Peter Parker at a time when the franchise still commands strong loyalty in the market.

Released in July 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and brought together Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo in a story that follows Peter Parker as he navigates life in a world that no longer remembers him. Backed by Sony Pictures in association with Marvel Studios and Pascal Pictures, the film arrived with event-level appeal and has translated that scale into one of the year’s biggest Hollywood theatrical performances in India.

The focus now is simple: how quickly Spider-Man: Brand New Day can convert this strong third-week hold into the final push past ₹500 crore.
