Unlike action-heavy thrillers, The Diplomat leans into realism. The film is inspired by Uzma Ahmed’s true story. She was forced into marriage in Pakistan and sought refuge at the Indian Embassy. John Abraham plays J.P. Singh, the diplomat leading the mission to bring her home.
