The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond Registers Strong Monday Hold, Reached Rs 12 crore India Nett

In a box office landscape where weekday drops often decide a film’s fate, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond has managed to keep itself in the conversation with a notably steady first Monday. The sequel, which arrived with the baggage of a blockbuster predecessor and the curiosity that comes with a politically charged IP, is now leaning on consistency rather than giant spikes to build its run.

After its opening weekend, all eyes were on Monday to see whether the film would collapse like many niche titles tend to do once the initial rush settles. Instead, the early weekday trend suggests the film has found a base audience that is showing up beyond the first three days.

Latest Update: Monday Nets Rs 2.25 Crore, Total Reaches Rs 12 Crore

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond collected around Rs 2.25 crore on Monday, taking its four day India nett total to approximately Rs 12 crore. The film’s day-wise India nett collections stand at Rs 0.65 crore on Friday, Rs 4.50 crore on Saturday, Rs 4.60 crore on Sunday, followed by Monday’s Rs 2.25 crore.

The Monday figure translates into roughly a 50 percent drop from Saturday, which is widely seen as a healthy hold for a film operating without major star power. With discount pricing in play on Tuesday in several centres and a mid-week holiday effect in parts of the country, the film is expected to remain elevated through the weekdays compared to a regular Monday to Thursday corridor.

The film’s trajectory is especially notable because sequels to high-grossing originals typically carry heightened expectations. This one, however, appears to be carving out its own run through steady collections rather than chasing the scale of its predecessor’s box office peak.

The Kerala Story 2 Box Office Collections:

Day 1: 0.65 cr

Day 2: 4.50 cr

Day 3: 4.60 cr

Day 4: 2.25 cr

Total: 12 crore nett

About The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond is directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Sunshine Pictures. The film stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha in key roles, with Sumit Gahlawat and Arjan Singh Aujla also part of the cast.

Positioned as a social drama, the film follows multiple young women across different Indian states. It explores themes around relationships, societal pressure, and allegations of coercion, keeping the narrative rooted in contentious, headline-driven subject matter without expanding into a broader thriller template.
