Tumbbad Day 2 Box Office Collection: Sohum Shah’s Cult Horror Film Jumps By 60% In Re Release, Heading For Fantastic 7.75 Crore Weekend!

Rahi Anil Barve’s directed Tumbbad which stars Sohum Shah and Mohammad Samad re-released in the theatres this Friday. The film was released back in 2018, at that time, the film could not get much attention, hardly earning the budget of the film with 12.50 crore net lifetime collections. The film soon after its release in OTT became a cult classic and gained a lot of appreciation. The film is expected to receive a huge response after its release again.

Tumbbad Jumped Big On 2nd Day Of Re Release

Tumbbad, though, has already proved its worth among the audience as a genius film. It received a lot of accolades from the critics and also received multiple awards. Its fan following has been huge in the past years and the film also comes with the nostalgic touch which can bring audiences to the theatres. Considering the current scene with the re-released movies, Tumbbad expected a very good return from the audience and that’s what happened. 

Film collected 1.65 crore net on day one which is way higher than its opening day of 65 lacs net when it was released first in 2018. Film collected 3.25 crore net in opening weekend 6 years back and it should cross that number today in two days itself.

India:

Day 1: 1.65 crore

Day 2: 2.65 crore

Total: 4.30 crore net

Film jumped big 60% on day two and collected 2.65 crore net. Film has 2 – day total of 4.30 crore net and will cross 7.75 – 8 crore net over the weekend. It is certain to cross lifetime of original release of 2018 in first week itself!
