UJDA CHAMAN’s Preponement Changes The Box Office Scenario Ft. BALA & HOUSEFULL 4

Sunny Singh starrer Ujda Chaman is grabbing all the attention since the poster and trailer of the film is out. The maker have now annpounced a new release date, earlier it was supposed to release on November 8.

Now the makers have surprised fans by preponing the release of the film on November 1.

As per the reports, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala which is based on the same concept is all set to release on November 7. The films are locked in a legal tussle over copyright violation. Makers of the former have alleged that Bala bears uncanny resemblance with their film, which is the official remake of Kannada comedy, Ondu Motteya Kathe. Both the films revolve around a bald protagonist.

Ujda Chaman’s change in the release date will create a huge change at the expected numbers of three big movies at the box office now. As the makers have decided to release the movie a week before Bala, and as both the movies have got the same concept, this will affect the proceedings of Bala at the box office. Also, Ujda Chaman will compete with the 2nd week of Housefull 4, which might affect Ujda Chaman at the box office to some extent too. Hence, all the predictions of Ujda Chaman, Bala and Housefull 4 will now get affected.

Director Abhishek Pathak said, “Since I had announced my film first, it is better to release a week before them and enjoy a solo release.”

In an interview a leading daily, when he was questioned about that the debutant director has been vocal about the fact that Bala, with Ayushmann as the protagonist, is the bigger film. So, won’t people wait a week to see that?
To this, the director replied, “No one can predict how many people will watch a film but today they are open to fresh content and mine is a good film.”

Also he was asked will he now withdraw the case given that the two films will not be clashing. He said, “There are two different issues here— one is the release date, the other is copyright violation. I will leave the latter to the court to decide.”

Ujda Chaman is directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, & Abhishek Pathak. It is presented by Panorama Studios International and co-produced B Sanjeev Joshi and Aditya Chowksey.
