Amar Kaushik directed Bhediya stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, Deepak Dobriyal. Dinesh Vijan is the producer of it who said that it is the part of his horror comedy universe. Jio studios is the presenter and is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. It will be released on November 25, 2022.
As the days come closer to its release, it’s expected that Bhediya will have double digits on its opening day, becoming the highest grosser Hindi film in November beating Ajay, Tabu starrer ‘Dishyam 2’, which is helmed by Abhishek Pathak also starring Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor. The mystery film is slated to release on November 18, 2022. Both films are expected to open well and close to double digit.
It’s noteworthy that when it comes to promotions, Bhediya has been doing exceptionally well as Varun went to studios for it during India-Pakistan world cup match on October 23 after its trailer. Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon pair is expected to create magic as it has created big expectations. Both the songs if the films scored well among audiences. Bhediya will bring in new something rather than a sequel like Drishyam and the original film already consumed by audience in lockdown on ott.
Director Amar Kaushik delivered two super hits Stree and Bala before this film. Bhediya has a Hollywood level VFX with a horror comedy element that is easily connected with moviegoers. Undoubtedly, its fierceful posters are something to look for, further raising curiosity.
Film should open close to 11 cr nett on day one going by trend and Drishyam 2 should open in range of 8-10 cr nett. It seems a close fight and will be interesting to see which film wins day one battle. Films released on 4th November opened to disaster numbers and 11th November also doesn’t offer much hope.
So for cinemas it essential that Drishyam 2 and Bhediya score big in cinemas.
