Yash’s Toxic has delivered the kind of opening that instantly changes the conversation around a film. Despite mixed early reviews, the gangster drama is heading for a first day Hindi haul of about Rs 43 crore to Rs 44 crore nett, with the final figure expected to settle around Rs 43 crore nett. A Hindi Opening That Beat Expectations
What makes the start even more significant is the way Toxic gathered momentum through the day. Maharashtra, which had looked comparatively softer in advance bookings, picked up strongly after release and emerged as one of the big contributors. The film also found major support in the Hindi mass circuits, helping it race far beyond what most day one projections had suggested.
The strongest stories came from East India. Odisha put up exceptional numbers, with the film placing just behind Pushpa 2 and even moving ahead of KGF 2 in that market. Bihar and West Bengal also recorded outstanding business, while Assam added a solid contribution for a dubbed-language-driven release.

Toxic did not rely on Hindi alone. Across all versions, the film is expected to finish a little short of Rs 100 crore nett for its opening day, which still places it among the biggest all India starts ever for an Indian release.
