Nikkhil Advani, a filmmaker and producer, is teaming up with Disney+ Hotstar for his new series “The Empire.” Advani’s Hotstar Specials series is billed as a monumental period adventure drama portraying the origins of a dynasty.
The drama, which will be directed by Mitakshara Kumar, will follow the life of a warrior, adventurer, survivor, and inadvertent king. According to a statement from the streamer, the series promises a breathtaking visual spectacle created on a scale rarely seen before on the digital domain.
The project’s showrunner will be the director. Through their Emmay Entertainment business, he and his wife Monisha Advani will produce alongside Madhu Bhojwani.
