As you can see, there is something for everyone in a variety of languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. However, there are a slew of new theatrical releases this week, and many of them will undoubtedly make their way to the OTT circuit in the coming weeks. So keep tuned for additional information.

Aranmanai 3:

This horror-comedy subgenre has been overused, particularly in Tamil cinema. The fact that manufacturers continue to produce them demonstrates their undeniable popularity. This film is a sequel to the Aranmanai franchise’s prior instalments.

You’ve probably figured out the formula: A large, scary mansion. The ghost, who is generally female, is after the inmates. There are a slew of foolish, naive characters who are haunted by the spectre of the femme fatale. They’re there to deliver the standard fare of jokes. The spirit is outwitted by the hero, who is incredibly smart and powerful, until the spirit takes on a new form in the next edition.

The outcome of Aranmanai 3 will be predictable. However, that is not the goal of the film. The important elements are the jokes and the mystery.

Squad:

There is lots of action and passion in this flick. The plot revolves around a rumoured army deserter and an orphaned child. The combat between crack commandos is playing out in the background.

Rinzing Denzongpa, the son of legendary Bollywood actor Danny Denzongpa, makes his feature film debut in this film. Working on this film, he says, was a rollercoaster trip. Through this film, we’ve seen everything – harsh weather and logistical challenges owing to constraints during the pandemic, but we were still on top, he says. Malvika Raaj, who previously played young Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, makes her senior debut in this film.

Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham:

This wacky Malayalam comedy escapade is Nivin Pauly’s home production, and it’s also Disney+ Hotstar’s first direct-to-digital Malayalam release.

The trailer for the film was released two weeks ago, and based on it, one gets the impression that spectators will be in for a wild journey, as the film stars a slew of eccentric characters. In the film, Pauly is said to be an acting teacher.

The film is directed by Balakrishnan Poduval, who made a name for himself with his Android Kunjappan. His previous film was about a robot who kept an elderly person company in a residence where the humans were preoccupied with their everyday tasks.

Special Ops 1.5:

A new season of the popular Special Ops show has begun. The aftermath of the 2001 attack on the Indian parliament is depicted in Special Ops 1.5, directed by Neeraj Pandey.

Kay Kay Menon played the tough-as-nails secret agent Himmat Singh in the first season of this espionage thriller. We learn more about this gloomy and sinister operator in the second series. In that way, it’s possible that this is a prelude to the first season.

The four-part series was shot in a variety of places, including Mumbai, Delhi, Malaysia, Ukraine, and Mauritius, and features lots of thrills and action moments. The series gives you a basic understanding of espionage operators and their operations.
