The second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has officially arrived. The film, which recasts Tom Holland in the eponymous character, follows Spider-exploits Man’s after Mysterio revealed his true identity in the previous film, Spider-Man: Far From Home. The clip also confirms what fans have been assuming for months: that No Way Home will bring together three Spider-Man film universes. Not only does the trailer feature Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, but it also features Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx’s new-look Electro, and Sandman.
There are a lot of surprises in the latest Spider-Man trailer. However, fans will have to wait and see if the most persistent rumour of all is real. Along with the villains, it has been reported that the film will feature older versions of Spider-Man, played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. At the end of the trailer, there is a brief mention of a confluence, but no mention of Maguire or Garfield.
Watch the trailer here:
In No Way Home, Benedict Cumberbatch will resume his role as Doctor Strange. He takes over as Peter’s mentor from the now-deceased Tony Stark. In the first trailer, Peter enlists the help of the Sorcerer Supreme to repair the damage wrought by Mysterio in Far From Home.
When Peter learns that Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) and MJ will forget he is Spider-Man as well, he panics and tries to sabotage the experiment, which goes horribly wrong. And it’s because of this that the multiverse is wide open, allowing villains from previous Spider-Man films to invade the MCU.
The film, directed by Jon Watts and starring Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and others, will be released on December 17th.
