Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’, and Martin Scorsese ‘The Irishman’ will be hurdling for VFX Oscars along with other movies in the category. The Oscars will take place on February 9, 2020, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Marvel Movies ‘Avengers: Endgame’, ‘Captain America’ and Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’ will be competing in the Visual Effects category for 92nd Academy Awards. Scorsese had debated during the promotions of ‘The Irishman’ equating Marvel movies to theme park experience.

Along with ‘Endgame’ and ‘The Irishman’,’ Aladdin’, ‘Ad Astra’, ‘Cats’, ‘Dumbo’, ‘Ford v Ferrari’, ‘The Aeronauts’, ‘Alita: Battle Angel’, ‘Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’, ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’, ‘The Lion King’, ‘Men in Black: International’, ‘Midway’, ‘1917’, ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’, ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ these movies will also complete the list.

The committee will be selecting and shortlisting 10 films that will advance to nominations voting later this month. The nominations will be announced on 13th January 2020. The Oscars will take place on February 9, 2020, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.
