Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi thriller Tenet has been in the news ever since the film was announced. The film was supposed to become the first film which starts the theatres reopening.

However now Warner Bros. has now removed Tenet from its release schedule indefinitely. The film was originally scheduled to release on July 17, but it was pushed back to July 31 and then Aug 12.

Since it is unclear when the theatres will reopen and audiences will get to see the film, a statement was released by Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich. It read, “We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for ‘Tenet,’ Christopher Nolan’s wholly original and mind-blowing feature.”

“Our goals throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success for our films while also being ready to support our theater partners with new content as soon as they could safely reopen.”
