You will have to wait a little longer for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor rom-com is set to undergo reshoots, which pushes its release beyond the initial date of April 18, 2025.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, the film is now expected to hit cinemas in the latter half of the year.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari To Reshoot Some Key Scenes & Two Special Songs
The makers want to refine certain portions to enhance the film. “Karan and Shashank feel that there is scope for more fun elements in the film, and hence they have planned another schedule to be canned around the destination wedding moments. The entire cast, including Varun and Janhvi, will be a part of this schedule. The idea is to enhance the film further to hit the bull’s eye,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
Varun Dhawan has been filming Border 2 in Jhansi, but he will take a break by the end of February to complete the pending scenes. The new shoot schedule includes two songs and some key sequences, extending the production by around 25 days.
One of the songs featuring Dhawan and Kapoor will be shot on a specially built set in Mumbai’s Madh Island. Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, the dance number will feature 50 background dancers and promises to be a visual treat.
Another Dharma Film To Take Its Release Slot
With Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari getting delayed, another Dharma Productions film will now take its original release slot. An official announcement is expected soon. Meanwhile, Karan Johar is set to bring two major rom-coms in 2025 – this film and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Teri Tu Mera.
The delay might be disappointing for fans, but the makers are ensuring a more entertaining and polished film.
