On the auspicious day of Karwa Chauth today, October 20, one of the most popular and loved films, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge completed 29 years of release. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the film is still relevant and fresh in fans’ hearts. On this occasion, Kajol shared a special post with her quirky touch.

A while ago, Kajol took to her Instagram handle and shared a poster of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge featuring herself and Shah Rukh Khan.
Celebrating both the film’s milestone and Karwa Chauth, Kajol captioned it, “29 years to the OG of Karva Chauth… wishing everyone a very hungry and successful Karva chauth .. maybe go to Maratha mandir and see the film. It’s 0 calories.”

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. In the film, Shah Rukh Khan played the role of Raj Malhotra and Kajol aced the role of Simran Singh.
The film also featured Amrish Puri as Chaudhary Baldev Singh, Simran’s father, along with Farida Jalal as Simran’s mother and Anupam Kher as Raj’s father.
Meanwhile, reacting to her post, one fan commented, “My first bollywood movie ever.” Another shared, “Fun apart, had recently watched with my wife. It still give me same high amd punch ,as it used to give 29 years ago. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s work front
SRK is currently busy with King. The film also features his daughter Suhana Khan. The film is written and directed by Sujoy Ghosh, known for Kahaani and Jaane Jaan. It is said to be a high-octane, action-packed drama, with Shah Rukh Khan once again donning an action avatar. Abhishek Bachchan has been cast as the antagonist in the film.
Pinkvilla reported that the team has finalized Eid 2026 as the release date for King. Filming is set to begin in January 2025 in Mumbai.
On the other hand, Kajol will be seen in Do Patti. Co-starring Kriti Sanon, the film will be released on Netflix on October 25. The film is directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi and marks the debut of Kriti as a producer.
