Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who is known for his perfectionism and versatility, has announced that his son Junaid Khan will be entering the Hindi film industry as a producer. Junaid, who has been active in theatre for six years, will be producing his first film titled Pritam Pyaare, which will have a new director and a new team.
The most exciting part of the film is that Junaid’s father Aamir Khan will make an extended cameo appearance in the film. Aamir has reportedly agreed to do the cameo as a gesture of support and encouragement for his son’s debut venture.
Aamir Khan confirms his son’s debut as a producer just like his father
The superstar recently shared his insights into fatherhood during a conclave with a leading news channel. In the interview, Aamir said, “Junaid is about to enter the film industry. What’s surprising is that he’s entering Bollywood not as an actor, as of now, but he is taking his first step as a producer like my father. So, the first film that he has made is as a producer and he made it in a very capable way. I’m very proud of him. The film was completed on time and on schedule, and it’s made well. The director was also new so young people were making it and Junaid was producing it. So, I’m very happy with the way he has done it.”
Revealing the title of Junaid’s debut movie as a producer, Aamir said, “The film’s name is Pritam Pyaare.” He added that he’s also playing a small part in the movie. “I am doing a cameo in his movie. It’s a 4-5 scene role.”
Pritam Pyaare directed by Sunil Pandey, is reportedly starring Sanjay Mishra with Aamir Khan in an extended cameo.
Aamir Khan shares his son Junaid Khan is an introvert
Pritam Pyaare is expected to be a comedy film with a social message. Aamir also shared that his son is an introvert and was worried about his son’s ability to deal with people.
Further on, Aamir said that when Junaid grew up, both he and his ex-wife Reena Dutta were worried. He shared, “Junaid was good in academics but he used to shy away from talking to people. He used to hesitate in interacting with others. So, I was worried. I thought our biggest quality is that we should know how to deal with people and if you can’t do that then your life gets difficult. So, I was tense. He’s very introverted.”
However, Junaid has proved his passion and dedication for acting by performing in various plays such as Mother Courage and Her Children, A Few Good Men, and The Merchant of Venice. He has also assisted Rajkumar Hirani in PK and Advait Chandan in Secret Superstar.
‘Pritam Pyaare‘ has already been shot and is slated to release in 2024. Junaid Khan hopes to make a mark in the industry with his maiden production and follow the footsteps of his father.
Meanwhile Aamir Khan is set to make his comeback to acting after his last release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha‘, which was the official remake of Hollywood hit ‘Forrest Gump’. The upcoming film will be titled ‘Sitaare Zameen Par‘.
