Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming film ‘The Archies’. However, before the release of her first film, Khushi has reportedly been approached for other projects as well.
As per recent reports, Khushi will be seen opposite Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan in the remake of the film ‘Love Today’. The duo has apparently already given their nod for the project as per Etimes. The original film, which is a romantic comedy, starred Pradeep Ranganathan, Ivana, Raveena Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Raadhika Sarathkumar in the lead roles. It is currently streaming on Netflix.
Talking about the adaptation of his short film ‘App(a) Lock’, which served as the inspiration for ‘Love Today’, director Pradeep Ranganathan revealed, “The short film has only three characters but the feature film has several others like Pradeep’s mother, sister, etc. With just three characters, the film might become monotonous. So, I created characters that would help make the film more appealing. The film also has a wedding backdrop to make it more mainstream. The film is not just about Pradeep and Nikitha, but also about the emotional journey of their families.”
Meanwhile, Khushi’s debut film ‘The Archies’ is directed by Zoya Akhtar and stars Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda. The movie will be set in the Anglo-Indian community of India and will have a magical and fictional hill station as its backdrop.
On the other hand, Junaid Khan will be seen in the film ‘Maharaja’ alongside Sharvari Wagh and Jaideep Ahlawat. With Khushi and Junaid all set to make their mark in the film industry, fans are eagerly waiting to see their performances on the big screen.
