Aanand L Rai is one of the most successful filmmakers in Bollywood. He has made some critically acclaimed and commercially successful films in recent years. Some of them are Tanu Weds Manu, Raanjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu: Returns. However, some of his recent works have not done well in any aspect. This is probably why Rai is reuniting with Dhanush for a new film.
On the 10th anniversary of Raanjhanaa, which was in June this year, the director announced a new project with Dhanush titled Tere Ishk Mein. Now there is an update for all the fans who have been waiting for this film. Aanand L. Rai and Dhanush will kickstart the shooting of the film in the month of November this year. Both Aanand and his co-writer Himanshu Sharma have almost finished writing the script. The pre-production will start in October 2023 and the team has already finalized the shooting timeline. A majority of the film will be shot extensively at various locations in Uttar Pradesh.
Actress Opposite Dhanush Has Not Been Finalized
Tere Ishk Mein will be shot in a straight three-month-long schedule in UP. It is a tragic love story, just like Raanjhanaa, that follows the story of an angry guy named Shekhar. The makers have not finalized the female lead opposite Dhanush. There have been talks with several actresses with the team but nothing has been finalized. Aanand is planning to release Tere Ishk Mein somewhere in the middle of 2024.

Tere Ishk Mein Was Announced On Raanjhanaa’s 10th Anniversary
Celebrating the 10-year milestone of Raanjhanaa, Aanand L Rai and Dhanush announced this new project for their reunion. Rai shared a short teaser video, announcing his next project with Dhanush. In the video, Dhanush is seen running while holding a burning Molotov. The entire sequence has a Dhanush voice-over and glasses from side-by buses breaking. In the end, he throws the Molotov on a wall where ‘From The World of Raanjhanaa‘ is written. The wall is engulfed with flames and the text on the wall changes to: ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, which is the title of the film. It is believed that Aanand is desperate after a series of flops.
